WHEN DO YOU USUALLY WORK IN YOUR SKETCHBOOK?
WHAT TIME OF DAY AND WHERE?
I work on the sketchbooks whenever it comes to my mind.
Meaning: I don’t have a system for how I journal.
I usually just draw with a mechanical pencil, and I try and keep one with me so that if I’m sitting having coff ee, or riding the train, or whatever, I can just draw something or make notes.
My main goal of keeping a sketchbook is to give me a reason to draw something every day, so I try not to set up little things to keep me from doing that, like needing the conditions to be perfect before I allow myself to draw. I’ve seen a lot of artists do this, and I do it myself sometimes, and it’s an easy way to stay locked up and not get art done.
